NIM ORGANIZATIONAL PHILOSOPHY AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES

PREAMBLE The philosophy of the Nigeria Intervention Movement NIM is founded on the fundamentals of Popular Democracy  and Social Justice embedded in greater democratic intervention of Government in building a society and polity free from all forms of biases and discrimination driven by class, ethnic and religious prejudices, while aspiring to uphold, defend and make justiciable all civil and peoples' rights/freedoms, covering; Right to Life, citizenship rights, socio economic rights, women’s rights, rights of the vulnerable; (including Persons With Special Needs), the Rights of indigenous peoples to self determination, child rights, affirmative action and gender equity as enshrined in the conventions and charters of both the United Nations, UN and the African Union, AU, in a way that these rights can be owned and defended by all Nigerian citizens within the ambience of a truly democratic peoples' constitution for the good governance, political stability and economic prosperity...

NIM CONDEMNS ORDER OF ARREST ON PRINCE KASSIM AFEGBUA

The Nigeria Intervention Movement (NIM) a Pro democracy movement seeking to revolutionize the Nigerian political landscape by giving political power to new breed ideologically grounded successor Leaders by 2019 has condemned in strongest terms the intimidation and harassment of Prince Kassim Afegbua, an accomplished lawyer and spokesman of Former President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, by the Nigerian Police over a statement he issued on behalf of the former Nigerian military leader. The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Monday night declared Prince Afegbua wanted over the statement he issued on Sunday and subsequently ordered the arrest of Afegbua for allegedly “making false statements" defamation of character, and for an act capable of instigating public disturbance”.
